Always perform a test pass on a scrap piece of wood of similar density to calibrate your depth settings. Precision at this stage prevents irreparable damage to your tonewoods and ensures the adjustment mechanism operates without friction once the fretboard is bonded.
Dual Action
Route a straight 6mm wide by 9mm deep channel for these rods. Ensure the rod fits snugly without forcing. Test the adjustment nut clearance at the headstock before glueing the fretboard to ensure full rotation and access for the adjustment tool.
